Press Minister – help work on newsletter
Minister of Interior – focus on internal scheduling and planning
Minister of External Affairs – recruiting, networking w/ other places
Finance Minister – work on money related things – fundraising, sales, etc.

b- summer trip: pls vote between boston, virginia, vermont and buffalo/niagra
share your opinions… as we discussed!

c- june trip - overnight at turkey swamp park – we need someone to find out when the schools end so we can choose a date, we also need to find out park details – reservations, pricing, dates etc.

d- newsletter – what can you contribute? what do you want to see in it?

what else would you want to work on? ideas to make batya bigger and better? if you want to order swtshirts for yourself, are there any volunteers to look into pricing and stuff?

Your first job – Hurray!!! You found this really fun job assisting a preschool class in a local Hebrew School -
perfect for what you were looking for to make some extra money on the side -
except that it wasn’t that much money, but ok, it’s a first job….
So you sign a contract and you’re ready to go!

But then… a week before school was supposed to start, a friend told you about a great job
she got that was paying almost double this job — and they have another position open!!
You’re soooo tempted to drop the Hebrew School job, for sure they’ll find someone else….

Can you break your contract so that you could make a lot more money, even if you know they’ll find a replacement???

Today, Sunday is Tisha B’Av – the saddest day of the year.
We fast and mourn to remember when the Bais Hamikdash (Holy Temple) was destroyed.
Fast started on Shabbos at 8:00 and ends Sunday night at 8:51 (could be a drop earlier is ok, not sure!)

It’s the second major fast of the year (after yom kippur)
I’m sure you all can do it – remember that it’s special to hashem – every minute of it!

Why are we still sad now?
if we had the bais hamikdash now – if mashiach (messiah)would come -
a- we’d have peace in the world, no illness, no sadnes no pain
b- we’d be able to have a real relationship with Hashem – w/o being a constant struggle to try to do what he wants
we would really feel that He’s always there caring for us and watching us – much much more than we have now!

so if we try and think about what we’re missing and feel sad, it will help us realize what we want
and daven for mashiach and try to bring make him come by being better ppl

Us batya girls can have a huge part in that -
so let’s share that we made it through the fast
and what we try to do to be better so that the world can become a better place
and the Bais hamikdash will be rebuilt!

You friend got this really cool expensive cell phone that you really wanted
and she let you borrow it for a couple of days.
You were out in the mall with your friends when you noticed that it wasn’t in your bag!
PANIC!!!
After searching frantically for a few hours, you found it on the floor of Abercrombie – crushed!!!
It totally wasn’t your fault – it must’ve fallen out of your bag when you pulled out your wallet!

Are you responsible to pay her for it?!?
