What’s Batya?
Batya is a youth group for Jewish teenage girls “for girls by girls” — a place to socialize, meet friends, get involved in community projects, participate in exciting activities, learn Jewish values and traditions, and of course, have fun!
Batya girls are looking to enhance and expand their Jewish experience, growing and developing at their own pace.
Batya members come from all over the tri-state area. Batya branches are located in various communities, with our main Teen Center in Marlbor, NJ. We all share a common desire to bond and grow as Jewish girls, notwithstanding our various levels of observance or affiliation.
Besides for our meetings, Batya members keep in touch through our members-only blog and with regular e-mail correspondence.

Our Goal
Batya’s goal is to provide what girls in today’s society need more than ever, a home base where they will find a sense of stability, a sense of belonging, and a sense of purpose. Batya is the place to instill our girls with important values, providing a safe and secure outlet for fun.
What We Do
At Batya our motto is – You plan; we make it happen. Our activities include cooking, baking, crafts, trips, pizza parties, charity events, community volunteering and so much more. We play games, learn songs, and explore Jewish holidays and traditions, having a great time through it all. Our thought-provoking discussion groups at Starbucks give us a chance to bond over a cup of coffee as we develop a sense of values and priorities. A Batya highlight is our exciting and inspiring Shabbatyas, a time to experience the unique beauty and joy of Shabbos, while using our personal talents and creativity. The weekly Study Buddy program gives our girls a chance to learn topics that interest them, and develop a personal relationship with their study partner, who serves as a mentor and friend.
