I am thrilled to share my heartfelt testimonial for the candle making event that Shevi hosted at Rutgers. It was an incredibly meaningful and transformative experience, allowing my female students to connect to the amazing tradition of lighting Shabbat candles. The event was educational and fun, the girls loved decorating their own candles. Shevi shared insightful teachings that illuminated the importance of lighting candles. It was a moving experience to witness their passion and dedication to preserving this mitzvah.

The candle lighting program, Unite by Light, is an exciting outreach initiative. Creative, engaging, inspiring, and life changing. Already a hit on college campuses, this program would benefit every Jewish woman in the world. Candle Lighting is the most attainable, yet possibly the most meaningful connection women have to the day of Shabbos. When they own this mitzvah and joyfully light the candlesticks (which they craft in the program), they feel committed to the act that begins the Shabbos experience and will spread this holy light to the rest of their family.

I just want to say this program on candle lighting - the story, and the ability to create our own candles and do this for our families, was such an amazing gift. I can't thank you enough for the insights, for the inspiration, and for the ability to take this time with our families. Thank you!"

I used to light candles every week, and once we moved to America, it somehow fell of our radar. This week, my daughter and I lit candles together. I had tears in my eyes. We so appreciate this opportunity to do something for ourselves, for our soldiers at the front, and for our entire people.
