Are scholarships available?

Yes!

The financial aid application is part of the online registration process. Scholarship decisions are based on need and on involvement in Batya programs, and are made after an applicant has been accepted.

Please note, many outside organizations offer scholarships for summer programs. You might consider calling your local Federation, ZOA, JCC, or Synagogue for scholarship assistance.

If you request financial aid, a representative from LITT will call you to assist you in the process. Our staff will work with you to access resources beyond LITT scholarship to reach a fee that is feasible based on individual need.

How is the itinerary unique?

Most teen Israel trips include a lot of museum and lecture time. LITT believes that true learning is experiential, and packs the schedule with a combination of extreme fun and immersion experiences which create lasting memories and lasting impact.

In the space of LITT’s 16-day trip, you can expect more activities, more experiences, and more location spots than the typical four-week program.

When can I expect to receive an information packet for my program?

Packets will be sent out in the spring. These packets will include legal and medical forms, packing lists, itineraries, flight information, conduct expectations and other VERY IMPORTANT information. It is crucial that you read through the entire packet and mail in all appropriate forms.

If you have any questions that you need answered prior to receiving the packet, you can contact our office.

Can I extend my stay in Israel?

Yes. To extend a ticket, you will need to contact the office, and you will then be directed to our travel agent who will make the accommodations. Program staff cannot arrange flights. Note: Any additional fees associated with the change are the responsibility of the program participant.

Once the trip has departed, how can we be in touch?

Prior to the trip, we will provide you with information for international cell phone rental service through a third party. There will also be an emergency number available to reach our staff.

Until when can I apply?

LITT 2024 has very limited space and is operating with a rolling admission system. This means that there is no final date to apply; once the program reaches capacity, applications will no longer be available.

I applied, now what?

Upon completion of your online application, you will receive a confirmation email. Within two weeks of your application, you will be contacted with the status of your application and the next steps.
